Unit looses time

I have a problem where my Boston Acoustics duo radio looses time overnight. I cannot believe that I could have this problem with a clock radio in this day of technology.

I just received a email from BA re this issue. They were amazingly prompt and friendly. Here is what I was advised to do:

"One thing to try is to let the radio recalibrate itself, this is done by leaving the unit completely unpowered and unplugged for 48 hours to let the cap drain and the unit will recalibrate itself"

How do you fix a boston Horizon Duo - I as the unit just turns on and makes a load humming sound and then th edisplay switches off

If you are lucky, it only went in protection mode and after disconnecting the power for a little while and reconnecting things could come back. But if the system did not have an overload protection, a fuse can be blown, or worse the power supply or power amp can be blown to pieces. There is one thing semiconductors don't like is work over their limit.

Display Panel Light is Out

Bull, the cap is leaking all over the board and has damaged the control microprocessor. Good luck fixing that yourself. No parts available, sorry.

Power button won't turn radio off

I've got the same problem. All other functionality is fine, however I can't turn the unit off once I've turned it on. I can use the power button to adjust volume, just not turn it off, so I have to unplug it to get it to turn off.

My remote control stopped operating my Boston Acoustics Horizon Duo-1. I know it is not the remote because I have a 2nd Duo-i Horizon that can be operated by both remote control units. Thanks, Booker

You can contact the BA. As they will make arrangement to take it back and replace it. BA is a good company and they give consumer feedback as soon as possible. Well, only if you haven't got an answer to your question.
