I'd like to help if I can. These printers have 4 cartridges. One black, one magenta (reddish), one cyan (blue) and one (yellow). The text and pictures are printed with a combination of these inks. When one or more is low, printing will be as you described. Your situation seems to be that you are out of black (so the cyan is trying to help and can only print blue) and you are probably out of yellow so the magenta is trying to do what it can. If you'll change all of the cartridges, I am pretty sure that you will have your problem solved.
Finally, there is a great place to get cartridges for your printer. The link is:
www.monstertoners.com/dcp-130c.html?gclid=CN2s_uiEsJgCFRIcawodQz_rUgYou can buy a multi-pak consisting of 4 black and 2 each of the three colors for $39.95 plus s/h
I use the cartridges and they have proven to be reliable.
If my help has been satisfactory, please give me your rating.
