Question about ASUS P5S800-VM Motherboard
I had the same problem. When I changed the power cable to the ATX12V1, it worked.
I have the Corsair CX500 power supply, it has three connectors that can
plug into the ATX12V1 slot. Two have 6pins and one has 8pins.
It worked when I connected the cable with 8pins to the ATX12V1 slot.
Note, only four will connect, the other four pins will be free.

I think u have problem with ur power supply remove the pin from mother board check the power supply by shorting the green wire and the black wire in the connector if the smps work there is no problem with ur smps contact a chiplevel engineer immediatley ther is trouble in the power supply section in ur mother board

when atx12v1 power cable is pluged in the pc will not start up, if the
plug is disconnected the fan and led works , but monitor does not
switch on.pc used to work fine.
