Question about Samsung HCM422W 42" Rear Projection Television
MY 42 in Samsung DLP turned itself off after a couple of hours of playing a CD through the dvd player (blue screen with tracks on screen.). Now it wont turn on. I fear it overheated, adn the lamp might have blown. When I try the power it just shows, then flashes red. But otherwise the light is not blinking or on. I tried unplugging it, moving it to a cooler spot, waiting hours adn days, and it wont turn on. I presume it is some "safe" mode (i hope), or the lamp is burnt. How can I tell? There is no apparent easy way to access the bulb on this set. Im at a loss. It is under warranty, but I dont really have the opportunity to get a technician over to deal with it.
ANYONE have any suggestions? Thanks.
If the set is still under warranty Samsung will send you the lamp,
look their number up in your owners manual which will also tell you where the access panel is for the lamp, each model is a little different but the owners manual will explain how to change it, not hard to do once you know where the access is, good luck
