My television have a blue screen and no picture. It has a sound, you can actually here the program that is on but when you switch the tv on
it comes on blue and just switches back off!
This can be caused by a problem within the "D" board or a bad CRT. If the D board can be fixed, that would be the least expensive repair. Even so, this will require a service tech. Depending on the cost of an estimate, you could call a service tech and explain that the TV may need a "D board" and try to get it serviced. If the D board replacement does not fix the problem, the CRT would be next. Maybe the service tech would allow you to pay a small fee for the experiment and a fixed service cost if it is the D board.

the blue is coming thru the screen very driect and heavily. is this a sign of the bulb going out? It also takes a very long time for the picture to warm up and come on when the tv has been off for a bit.
