Zen Vision M freezing during music upload.

I have had a Zen Vision: M for nearly a year, and it was working fine. All of a sudden recently when I attempt to upload music through the Creative Media Wizard, my player freezes and i'm forced to hit the 'reset' button. I have attempted to rectify this problem by reinstalling my firmware, wiping the player, fixing my registry, reinstalling the Zen software among other things.

Some help would be greatly appreciated so I can actually transfer my entire music collection onto my Zen, which is what I was initially able to do upon purchase..

Try to add your music a bit at a time instead of your whole library at once. That will freeze it. You can also try sync with Window's Media Player, which works a lot better than the Creative software.

Mp3 player won't connect to PC

These problems sound to me like its time to format your hard drive. To format the hard drive, put your Zen into Recovery Mode. Put a paperclip in the reset hole and hold the on/off button in the "on" position. Then release the paperclip and continue to hold the on button until you see the screen change to Recovery Mode.

Select the Format option, then Reboot. If your Zen still isn't recognized by your computer, this likely means there is a chip failure on the motherboard. Click here for more troubleshooting advice.

Zen Vision freezing

What you need to do is check the firmware. By doing so, set the device on "Disk Mode" and try to reinstall your firmware. Also make sure to back up all your files before doing so. If thats not the case, then it could be the battery life. Most of these reported cases all have to do with the battery performance. Freezing is the most common case of battery dysfunction. Make sure you get that checked out.

Rhapsody Freezing up with Creative Zen Vision M

I have found that it works if I dump all mp3:s in one directory, the freeze only happens if \Music has a lot of subdirectories. Weirdness! The drawback is that synching seems to be a lot slower with all mp3:s in one directory.

tried doing a cleanup, reformatting, and reloading firmware,
