Screen reads "open tray" and will not play a game

Well you may be having disk tray issues, sure hope so as compared to a burnt out lens module,try ejecting the tray fully and wiping all dust off around the grooves under the tray,one more tip is to keep a disk in the drive at all times, even when you aint playing it, you can also try giving it a gentle tap on the front pat where the disk tray is located any time you eject it or push the tray back in, come to think about it if you are fond of pushing the tray in after inserting a disc, stop cos it weakens the motor that drives the ejecting process, hope this helps...

1, the disc may be dirty
2. the mian reason for this your xbox drive cannot read the disc , because the power of the lens is gone(not completely) ,

solution:

1. keep your disc inside the drive and switch off the console, again swith on try this 2 to 3 time
2. keep the console in vertical position or little slanding position(180 dg) make sure it does not fall

3. its better to buy hatddisc and load the game inside it , so that u lens life increased

4. change the entire drive

This means that you need your DVD drive replaced. If you are under your 1 year warranty from MS go to www.xbox.com/support and fill out a repair request. If you are out of warranty make sure that you only let an experienced professional perform this repair. If you do the repair on your own, or have someone that doesn't know what they are doing do it then it's very likely your Xbox will never play games again. If it won't play any games it might be the laser that reads the disk. I would suggest getting it checked out somewhere.

it might be because game eye need to be clean

This happdends when the arm that the eye of the drive sits on doesn't go up. So it thinks the drive is open. You could try to open it up to see if you know about these things and try to fix it. Or just buy a new drive they run about $50

The open tray and unplayable disc is because the lens isn't strong on the drive and needs to have a Pot calibration done to it to make the lens signal stronger. That should fix the open tray/unplayable disc issue. I have done this to quite a few drives and all have been working fine since.

the lens of the disc drive needs a check up...

If it says "reading" you just have to wait. H.A.W.X. is a big game.
If it says "open tray" you have to close the tray :)

Unless, Check the CD for scratches and marks, or else try the CD on another Xbox 360 console.
