I have a superstar 3900g and I am not getting any tx from it, it received very good but when I key the microphone it does'nt key up. It there a switching diode or transistor that could cause that problem.

Is there a fuse inside superstar 360

They’re not capacitors you have pointed out on the schematic, they’re inductors and their value is 0.47 micro Henrys. You can’t bluff your way through electronics, especially when giving advice. I thought this was a forum to help people, not hinder.

Can anyone please help me with my superstar red 3900 has i have changed the audio chip and protection diode and i have still got no recieve what could the problem be thanks

No RX or No Audio?

Could be blown protection diodes or if no audio a faulty capacitor close to the audio chip!
The protection diodes can blow if you were close by someone with a high power transmitter, then the diodes would blow kinda like a fuse to protect the rig, result no RX symptom!
Replacing the diodes will cure that problem, located close to the rear of the rig.

How do I hook up a amp to a Superstar 121 cb radio

first if must be adjusted for deadkey to be lowered down from 1-4watts as not to hurt the amplifier, then connect a small jumper to the amp, run heavy gauge wires to a good power source hopefully the battery.. just use a relay to switch on/off w/key/stereo circuit to turn main power off the the amp. if need too. Also the SWR's must be low have them checked. Free @ any Good Radio Shop.

How do i get more mod out of superstar 121 cb

A super star will only put out around 28 to 30 watts, any more you need a linear, you could have you r swr checked to make sure your antenna is good, any good antenna should talk around 10 miles

I have an older style Superstar 3900 that is ''deaf''

in the middle of board. towards the back there is a IC .. that is a preamp, and all the diodes for the RX and the bigger tunning transformers with the big red(sometimes) ferrites are for the RX if cannot figure it out contact me further infomatiion

Power was reversed so 12v went thru neg. side of radio. can it be fixed?

Yes. I am not familiar with the inside of that radio, but all usually have polarity protection diodes. They are usually a bigger black diode and they are usually easy to spot because usually burn. As well they are near the back of the radio near where the power comes in.

usually its a IN4003 diode. Replace it with the same or better.

I want to know how to convert my superstar121

3 Bands (LOW - MID - HIGH) 25.515 - 27.855 MHz.

Export Frequency Conversion
1. Remove the top cover from the unit and locate the PLL chip (MC145106P). Unsolder the short jumper wire running from the +8.2vdc source to pin 9 of the PLL chip. 2. 2. Resolder the three pins of the PLL chip, Pins 10, 11, and 12, being carefull not to short them together. Note: The Super Star 140 Microphone wiring is the same as all Midland Radios.

Mic hum

Yes, the wiring is different. Reverse the wires on pins 1 & 2, then reverse the wires on pins 3 & 4.

The wiring for you radio's mike is:

1- Audio
2-Ground (Shield)

Depending on the vintage of your mike, the colors Uniden uses for these functions are white or yellow for audio, red is transmit & black is receive.

It's a two way cb radio and i need to know were i can send it or take it to get it working, it'a old a motorola cb bcb97110 fcc data cb1133 warr. no 250- A103202 921 please do'nt tell me i have to fix it...

hi when you try to connect power to radio does it keep blowing fuses ,iff so remove the bottom panel/cover from the radio at the back of the radio where the power terminals enter the board you will see a black diode with a silver strip this is what we call a reversed or dummy diode remove this and your radio should work ok make sure to replace with new one you can find these in most cb radios goodlyck
