Question about Washing Machines
I purchased this washer in 09/2005. By 05/2006 I had this problem and it was repaired. I think that the tech said it was caused by not using the correct type of detergent. The machine has not been used in several months. I recently hooked it up again and am now getting an error code "ddo". The lights all work. The door locks. But then nothing happens. Then about a minute or less later the error code pops on the screen and the machine beeps.
Could be "detergent drawer open". Try opening and closing the door shut. There is a magnet there which shows that the door is closed or open. Use front loading washing powders preferably.

Tips for a great answer:
Hello zabbster - Typically the DR or DO error code indicates that the door switch is not closed. Make sure that the door lock is completely closed. If the door is closed, make sure the door latch is not broken. If the latch is broken, you may possibly need to replace the door lock switch.
