Question about Philips HTS3410D/37 700W DVD Home Theater System System
Try polishing the laser with a qtip, the laser might just be dirty.

Maybe rewind the gears somehow like the xbox problem...? but how

The lazer being dirty doesn't affect the spinning of the disk, just the reading of the disc. OMG

SOURCE: No Disc
The drive needs repairs, or replacement. Check your warranty you may still have it and in that case you will most likely get free repairs.

I hve the same problem, tied cleaning the lens, still no luck :(
Disc does not spin at all when loaded.
Will play CD's, but says "NO DISC" to DVD's every time. Doesn't spin up at all.
Does not read original dvd's (shows no disk) but plays back-ups(go figure) and it only plays a few channels(no surround sound).
it doesnt matter what kind of disc you insert, DVD, CD......etc. etc.... the damned thing wont work. So, since there probably is NO fix, is there another unit that I can purchase that I can connect my speakers to? Since I cant seem to get anywhere on Philips site that will tell me if the connections are the same!
I took the cover off and the laser works but the dvd will not spin tride many dvds with no luck just says no disc
It plays the CD but when I insert a DVD movie it just says NO DISC
same problem here
It says NO Disc to CD's...DVD's and everything, but my Home theter part is working fine, I have only problem with DVD Player.
I am having the same problem. The CD spins but will not read
Same problem as everyone else. Cleaning does not do anything. I noticed that after not using it for a while it will sometimes bring up a menu but then will stop working and go back to saying no disc
