Dear expert
Having a prob with my DVD player. When I insert a disc it reads "no disc" and nothing happens. I accidentally pressed open initially without stopping the disc first. Was this the cause? Can you shed any light on this please?
Many thanks
Rick.

I have had identical problems to those noted above and to my utter amazement they have been solved by forcefully tapping the bottom of the player. It still sticks often so I guess I shall soon have to buy a new machine - not from Toshiba?

With some models of DVD player I know you can download a firmware update on your PC, load it to the DVD player and it wil fix some issues.
Finding those sites for download may be difficult though.
