Osd lock in my LCD

Hi All, I have just bought a new computer and it came with a widescreen LCD. I thought I would use my old 19" AOC LM929 monitor for my CCTV cameras at home as the screen is too good to dump.
I have used a Grand vision 2000 so convert the CCTV signal to SVGA? and the monitor shows an on screen message saying "input not supported". If I turn on the screen with my finger holding down the menu and power button the the box says "OSD locked". This then clears and I can use the monitor without the "input not supported" box floating round the screen.
My problem is when the CCTV switcher changes to another camera the monitor looses sync and I have to switch the monitor off and start up with the menu button pressed all over again.

Is there a way I can disable the error messages permanently...possibly pressing the buttons in a certain way to achieve this?
Many thanks
Confused!!

Osd unlock

To unlock the OSD (onscreen display control), turn off the monitor and then press and hold the Menu button on the monitor. Then press the power button to turn the monitor back on. Do not release the Menu button before pressing the power button. This same step (holding the Menu button and then pressing the power button) enables the OSD lock. The menu button is the top button on the right side of the monitor (on the bezel). The power button is the bottom button of the group. AOC has the documentation for the 2036sa here: http://us.aoc.com/monitor_displays/2036sa . See page 20 of the User's Guide for the OSD lock procedure. The picture of the monitor buttons is on page 19. The guide is available as a PDF on the AOC site. Note: you will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to read the file.

I hope this helps.

Power

check the power pack to see if it has the required output voltage, usually 12-15 volts. solidstate power packs are prone to failure. The LCD screens require between 2 and 4 amps to power them. A strain on some power packs. Gary(Honkity Hank)
