I tried entering the default IP address to enable me to secure my connection. After entering the default 192.168.xx.x the screen just said done. I trie hitting the resen button on my modem and still come up with the same. I used the default UN and PW as well. How do I access the router to make changes?
On the reverse of the router is a recessed button. Use a pen or pin/paperclip to push this in (while the router is powered on) for around 10 seconds. All the lights should flash off and then start to come back on. This will restore the factory settings, default IP 192.168.1.1, system password 1234.
If the IP still does not work, click stat/run and type CMD. Hit OK, when you get the black screen, type 'ipconfig' (without quotation marks) and press enter. Make a note of the 'default gateway', and type that into Internet Explorer. If this doesn't work, reply to this. Ta.

Confirm that you are connected to the router via a ethernet cable, unless you specifically configured wireless management within the router. Confirm that you are being assigned an ip on the computer you are trying to configure from. (At a cmd prompt type "ipconfig". You should have an address 192.168.1.x if in fact 192.168.1.1 is your default gateway. Also if this router was configured for secure only management you will need to connect via https://192.168.1.1
There is a reset button on the back of the router. You have to press it in for about 10 seconds. (While the router is on) This will reset the router to default settings. You will lose all security, and your network will be "Open". You will then have to refer back to the guide in order to setup your network security, and create a new password. Here is a link to the guide. ftp://ftp.zyxel.com/P-660HW-T1/user_guide/P-660HW-T1_3.40.pdf

Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router.

Hi Friend, Before Connecting your internet we must check in ur system.
1.Go to Start---->Run------>type cmd----->in the black screen type ping 127.0.0.1 2.check wither its getting reply or request 3.If u are getting reply then ur system is perfect i.e., your NIC Card is installed properly. 4.check wither any proxy is enabled in the LAN settings. go to browser--->tools---->internet options(Options)----->Connection--->Lan Setting--->there should noy be any tick mark in the boxes
Now we can check the connectivity, 1.Connect the PC from the Router Lan Port and the modem connectivity to the Wan Port of the Router. 2.Assign the Ip address as obtain ip address automatically
Right click networkplaces--->properties--->Lan Connection Properties---->double click the internet protocol(Tcp/IP).In the next box u must select the Obtain Ip address automatically
3.Now u switch on the modem after 30 sec switch on the Router. 4. Launch your web browser. 5 Type "192.168.1.1" as the URL. 6For administrator access enter the default admin password 1234 to configure the wizards and the advanced features. 7 Click Login to proceed to a screen asking you to change your password or click Cancel to revert to the default password. 8 If you entered the admin password, it is highly recommended you change the default admin password! Enter a new password between 1 and 30 characters, retype it to 9.Then u can configure the ip address
