How can I make the audio in my Finding Nemo PC game stop sounding like chipmunks on my Windows XP desktop machine?

Try taking the audio out, (via the headphone socket or dedicated audio output socket), to a separate amplifier and speaker set. It will sound a great deal better. If it does not sound better and other games / audio CD's sound OK, then the audio track on the PC game is corrupted. Cheers

Hi antonykionyo

DELL OPTIPLEX GX60 DESKTOP PC AUDIO/SOUND DRIVER

You don't say which Operating System you use, so my answer will be presented in general, Windows terms. If yours is a non-Windows Operating System, consider applying the logic and principles involved here to your own Operating System and, if in doubt, please feel free to add a Comment or Clarification to this Question, including information about your Operating System.

Check the status of the Audio Device and the Audio Driver in Device Manager.

Start > (My) Computer > (System Properties) View System Settings > Device Manager

This will tell you if the Audio/Sound Device is installed and functioning properly and if the Audio/Sound Driver is installed properly. If a red 'x' or a yellow question or exclamation mark appears next to the Audio/Sound Device, then there is probably a settings anomaly, fault, error or conflict with the Audio Device and/or its Driver.

AUDIO DEVICE SETTINGS
For your Audio/Sound Device to function properly, it must be set as the Default Device:

Start > Control Panel > (Hardware and Sound) Sounds Speech and Audio Devices > Sounds and Audio Devices > (Manage Audio Devices) Audio > click on the Drop Down Menu to the right of "Sound Playback - Default Device" (preferred Default Playback Device) > select "ADI 198x Integrated Audio" > Apply > OK > Restart computer.

AUDIO/SOUND DRIVER PROBLEMS
Re-install the correct Audio/Sound Driver that relates to both the Audio/Sound Device (ADI 198x Integrated Audio) and your Operating System, then restart the computer. Install the Audio/Sound Driver either from the Dell Drivers and Utilities CD or from the official Dell support website here:

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&releaseid=R71579&SystemID=PLX_PNT_CEL_GX60&servicetag=&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=2430&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=3&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=0&libid=3&typeid=-1&dateid=-1&formatid=-1&source=-1&fileid=92933

If your Operating System is not the original Windows 2000 or Windows XP for which this PC was designed, then it is highly probable that no Audio/Sound Driver exists for that Operating System.

If you are committed to both this PC and an unsupported Operating System but all the other Devices and their Drivers are functioning normally except the Audio Device or you are using Win 2000 or Win XP but the Audio/Sound Problem remains unsolvable (faulty Audio/Sound Chip), then consider buying and installing either an internal 5.1, 7.1 or 8.1 PCI Sound Card or an external USB Sound Card that is pre-confirmed as being compatible with your Operating System. They can all be inexpensive. See examples here:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=5.1+7.1+8.1+pci+soundcard&x=5&y=17

I hope this helps.

No audio on pc problem

Check the Sound and Audio settings to make sure that the proper output device has been selected. Go to your Control Panel then Sound and Audio Devices, then the Audio tab. In that tab make sure that Default Sound Playback is set your sound card.

No sound after plugging in HDMI cable to computer.

I think this is dependant on your graphics card in your PC. Most PC's with HDMI ports are purely for video not audio, check with your PC manufacturer/graphics card manufacturer to see if it supports audio from the HDMI port.

You may just have to link the audio from the audio output port on the PC to the reciever for audio and HDMI for video.

My Cyber Acoustics set of stereo speakers plugged into my MAC MINI suddenly is not found in my system preferences on my MAC MINI Model # CA-2022R (I think). My Cyber Acoustics set of stereo speakers plugged into my MAC MINI suddenly is not found in my system preferences. I just recently updated my MAC's software to MAC's new Monterey 12.0.1. Apparently or at least seemingly, my speakers, although on, won't put out any sound now. My computer is no longer acknowledging their hooked up presence. Through hit and miss, I was at least able to turn on my MAC's own built in speaker. It sounds awful compared to the high quality sound of these speakers. Apple support has no idea WHY my computer has stopped acknowledging the presence and still plugged in and switched on. The blue power light is on. CYBER ACOUSTICS set of 2 stereo speakers. Is there hardware / software that I can download back into my computer that will reactivate my 2 speakers? I DON'T KNOW THEIR MODEL NUMBER FOR SURE but I think I saw CA-2022R. I have already tried unplugging them and then plugging them back in repeatedly but that doesn't help. I even re-updated my computers software for the second time with the same new Monterey operating system 12.0.1. I have no idea what else to do and Apple support is clueless. My MAC simply no longer knows that I have a set of Cyber Acoustics plugged into it. PLEASE HELP ME GET THIS TO FUNCTION AGAIN. I even momentarily plugged your speaker's green plug in into the head phone jack on my iPhone and it worked perfectly and sounded great as usual. Then I plugged it back into the back speaker input on my MAC MINI.
