The reason your television takes a while to come on and have a red light flashing before it comes on is because it is about to develop a problem and it is most likely a power problem.
If your television does not get properly shut down and power goes off on it without the proper procedures, it would start to flash the red light which is to sound a warning that your television would become faulty within a short period of time.
So ensure you go through the normal procedure in turning off your television.
hello
When the TV has been powered on long enough for the lamp unit to get hot, it may take several minutes for
the picture to appear on-screen. See "IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT HOT LAMP R
When the TV has been powered on long enough for the lamp unit to get hot, it may take several minutes for the picture to appear on-screen
in the following situations:
• When the Quick Restart™ feature is set to OFF and you turn the TV off and then on again within a few minutes.
• If the TV is on when a short-term power failure, power surge, or other similar power failure occurs, such that the TV loses and regains
power within a few minutes.
This is a property of DLP TV lamp technology and is NOT a sign of malfunction.
If this occurs, the green LED on the TV front panel will blink (and the red LED will be lit solid) until the TV is finished restarting the lamp
and the normal picture appears. If BOTH green and red LEDs are blinking at a one-second rate, you will need to turn the TV off and then
on again to restart the lamp.
ESTART" on page 8. if this no good check the lamp in side to see if it's not burn't out good luck
If you hear a grinding, whirling, spining or buzzing sound, that sounds to me like the COLOR WHEEL,the reason for that is because your color wheel spins at 5,000 rpms(revolution per minute) and something that modifies the balance of the disc can cause different things,Unfortionatelly the only way to check that the color wheel is working properlyis you need to check it out physically
I did some research and I found the color wheel at DM;http://www.discount-merchant.com/Samsung-Replacement-Color-Wheel-HLS-HLT-Series-p/samsungcolor_wheel_bp96-01579a.htm?CLICK=52978
The real deal here is the protection circuit has activated. This is
caused whenever an excessive amount of current is being drawn from the
main power supply. Upon detection of same, it immediately takes over
the power management of the set and shuts it down. The clicking sound
you hear is the ON relay turning on the set, but immediately the power
mangement system shuts it OFF. You should hear two clicks, but they
may be so close together that it sounds like one click.
This set is getting rather ancient and I would not recommend you spend
much money on it for this reason: It is highly likely that once the
set if repaired that another failure would occur. This is because of
the law of averages; the first failure is often followed by another
failure from anywhere within the set.
Yes, it is either that or the "Startup Circuit" is faulty usually it is the associated relay. Thats the clicking sound you hear. When you turn on the TV, the relay is activated along with a timing transistor, the Relay has to make contact within a certain time frame. If the contact is not made during that time frame, the TV shuts down. This is a safety feature in all TV's. If you can get a schematic it will show you where the relay is or, after you unplug the TV and wait 15 minutes, you can take a look inside at the main circuit board, sometimes they mark the area with either "START UP" or "SHUT DOWN" and there you should see a relay.
But a new one usually has to be soldered in.
the cuestion is if every time it shut down you have the hot shorted,or not. have measure the flyback/yoke/Hot working current? it must be under 0.6Amp ,if is greater something is wrong and cause overheating.Normally I touch with my fingers to "measure" the temperature. and what about the Micro?.there´s one pin that control power on/off ,is it good-solid data or is crazy
. micro gets hot, have a correct 5Volt on its VDD pin. lot of cuestion that I hope helps you!!!
