Weird Bug on my Jam - Phone Indicator not functioning properly


I have a very serious problem.

By the phone indicator I mean the reception status indicator. After I wake from sleep mode it would not show any reception status at all.

I cannot use the phone, there are no incoming or outgoing calls.

A related bug that I noticed, I cannot disable flight mode properly either. after entering flight mode phone shuts off (normal) but when I wake it would not come back alive. phone indicator remains with an 'X' on it and I cannot force it to register on my network.

I doubt the network is causing this grief.

Is anyone else experience this?

So far there's only 1 ROM version available that I'm aware of. so I don't think that'll have any effects on this.

suggestions would be appreciated.

I definetly would try to insure you have the latest ROM and a memory manager on your Jam.

I had a problem, still do, where the blue tooth will not toggle on. I have to turn the flight mode on and off a number of times, mix in a soft reset and suddenly I'm back in business. Flight mode is easy to toggle on and off. There are deeper phone settings with regard to network access etc. Does your provider recognize the JAM--for example T-mobile does not really know the JAM though they have the MDA. There are certain network settings (cell network) that are most appropriate for the JAM>

I know this is limiting in help but it's a starting point. I would again look to a third party application as well for blue tooth connecitivty, so as not to have it interfering with the phone signal.

This is a bug in the windows version either you install a new windows 2003 CE
or try to get the last windows updates from club i-mate site ,
this will fix this bug problem
and you cannot recieve any call because the flight mode disable the phone so u can't register your phone on the network

What does the status light mean,it's green
When it's green that just means that you're phone has service. When it blinks red that means you have a text message, virgin alert, missed call, or sometimes a voicemail message. You can turn of the status indicator light by going to Menu > Settings > Display > Status Light and select "Off".

Reception / signal keeps cutting in and out
