The camcorder has detected an issue that may require a power reset.

  1. Turn off the camcorder.
  2. Remove the battery or disconnect the AC power adapter for 60 seconds.
  3. Insert the battery or reconnect the AC adapter.

My Viper remote won't turn on or charge.

The battery is probably dead. There is a guy on ebay that is replacing them. He fixed mine and it works great. The batteries dont last forever and you cannot just buy them they are a special type, also viper suggests you buy a new remote for $299 because they do not replace the batteries... how convenient. Hopefully that helps.

IS THERE A ADAPTER FOR THE 12 VOLT BATTERY LIKE THERE IS FOR THE 6 VOLT ONES TO GO FROM THE A STYLE TO THE AH STYLE? i HAVE A DIFFERENT STYLE PLUG FOR MY BATTERY THAN THE ONE I NEED FOR MY SONS GATER.

Make sure that you do not use a 12v charger on a 6v battery ... regardless of any adaptor!
This is a common issue that can be solved if you are a little 'electrically minded': get two different colour coded cables with alligator clips on both ends and using a multimeter check that the positive output of the charger is 'clipped' to the positive terminal of the battery terminal (usually use a 'red' cable) and do the same for the negative parts (using a 'black' cable). To minimize potential issue with a short circuit, I would suggest connecting a low wattage old 12V car bulb (3W recommended) in series between the positive output of the charger and the positive terminal of the battery: this will also limit the current load.

Samsung sgh-a707 won't stay on. Shuts off when batt seems full.

try to go to a local store or through your service provider to run a test on the battery that you are using. It might be defective, tyr using a different battery for the phone. If using a different battery would not resolve this issue, it means that the phone needs service.

Tape ejects immdediately when I load tape.

I own a Sharp VL-Z1 DV video camera. I had this same problem and thought it was from using the ME Maxell tapes. I took the battery out of the unit and let it reset. Worked fine after that.

Timex Expedition, beeps very quietly and indiglo doesn't work.

To clarify... Replace the cover with the arrow on the back pointing directly at the stem. The Indiglo backlight, alarms and chimes should all work when the back cover is in this position.

Warning indicator C:32:00/C:32:11

I had the same problem (error c:32:00, beeps and tape would not eject. Cassette was halfway ejected) on my Sony CCD-TR416. I found the fix here:

http://www.camerahacker.com/Forums/DisplayComments.php?file=Video%20Camera/Sony/DCR_PC5E_Error_code_C_21.00.html

To summarize: remove the battery, unplug from the wall and smack the **** outta the bottom of the camera. It worked for me. It looks like my problem was that the tape had started coming out of the cassette body and caused a jam.

Cannot record or play

I had the same thing happen to my Sony DCR-TR7000 NTSC. I plugged in the AC power supply and it worked fine. So I fully recharged the battery, removed the Hi8MP cassette that was in it, put in a new one. The problem went away and when I reloaded the old cassette, the problem was gone. Don't know why, but this process seemed to fix it.

Tapes won't play

This is an indication that both data heads are dirty. In a digital camcorder both heads need to be operating correctly to obtain a full picture. Insert a new cleaning tape and run it for only 10 seconds or less, this should clear up the problem. Avoid using the tape that caused the problem. Do not use the cleaning tape for regular maintenance, this will damage the drum surface. Good luck to you! Joe Weibel Custom Electronics (customelectronics.org)
