Try resetting the ram, ie remove battery, press on button a few times to de-enrgise system then remove cover under laptop (Be very careful not to lose the tiny screws) gently ease ram stick(s) out then replace. Ensure the battery charger is also plugged in as you may have very low battery.

Once the battery is removed, there is no need to do anything else but put it back together and turn it on. RAM doesn't hold memory without power.
