Finalize a dvd made in a video camcorder

Sometimes mine does this when the battery needs to be charged.

You need to have the power adapter pluged in in order to finalize the disk.

There way of a making sure everyone doesn't copy over there movies/photos with out knowing??

You can do this via a PC using a program such as Roxio (www.roxio.com) or NERO (www.nero.com).

to finalize dvd you have to do it or on camcorder or DVD RECORDER. find someone that have and you will be able to do it. good luck

I noticed that too with my "VR" (and NOT "Video") formatted disks. I don't think you can finalize the VR ones. Instead you have to use the Sony Import tool to grab the videos. If you are like me you probably remember using the import tool with Video formatted disks BEFORE finalizing them and it takes forever to copy them. They must be finalized to view on other devices, copy using the import tool quicker, etc., but VR formatted disks seem optimized for importing (and can be edited on the camcorder directly.

To have finalize option, please put the camera into video mode; that means not to be on picture mode.

The camera has to be plugged in for it to finalize. Use the function button and find it in the menu

you need to have the mains lead in to do this, took me ages to find it in the manual, also put on a level surface and dont move it, you will get a prompt any way, same applies for unfinalise

Buy a 2 hour battery and you can finalize it with it fully charged.

no you can't finalize the dvd without the camera.you need the competable camera to finalize it
