If it is a Pioneer then 99% that it has a cracked ribbon cable. The cable is flat and being dragged from slidding in and out. But I think the same apply for all brands. I have seen a cracked one from Audiovox. Are you incline enough to open it up to check? It take lot of patients, a steady hand and good memory(to put it back together). Press the volume down button on the projection display and hold down the zero button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds. When the reset procedure is complete, a message will display that the lamp timer was reset to zero.
ther is on most microwaves a fuse inside usually located behind display panel located in a fuse block or will be on the control board itself.. normally a 20 amp fuse...try that first if not then make sure you have power to control and if so and no display most likely the display control board...
may luck out and be just the fuse though....good luck
