Which brand is your printer? If it is a HP then most of the printers, with the exception of the older HP printers have Vista drivers available to download from www.hp.com. If I get a little more information I can possibly give you a solution, as this point I can only guess what brand your printer is.

Have you downloaded a "driver" for the printer. If not, search for "Lexmark 1200" free driver downloads. Or go to "control panel" and click on "add new hardware" and follow the onscreen instructions. Try this first and if not work, then do the search.
Yes there are drivers for the Lexmark 1200 series available on the Lexmark.com Website. If you upgraded your PC to Vista or installed the drivers from CD you should uninstall the printer drivers and download and install the Vista drivers .
