922 printer/scanner... how do I scan doc into computer?

try to reinstall the driver s for the printer/scanner ...and see if the issue is solved.....Another thing ....if the scanner is used by multiple computers you have to give the scanning command from the computer ...and not from the scanner itself...This way you will be able to import the scan result into the library of the program that drives it ..
another thing that may happen is the link to be broke ...so ..get to the fax and printers in the start menu ...and open it ..and redo the link ..by scanning for printers and choose it again from the list ..(by name ) ..and make it the default printer/scanner..

for normal scanning you can go to control panel and choose the option of scanner and camera wizard and do the scanning but it is good if you install the driver of printer which is contain the scanner software and give you more option of scanning.

You can download the driver from Dell's website.

place the document to be scanned on the scanner bed.. then open start-programs-accessories-paint. In paint click on file and then from the menu click on from scanner or camera.. will automatically scan it there. if u need help setting up default scanner software.. email me at [email protected]

Answer - scan doc to e-mail out. You need equipment (scanner, copier/scanner/printer, etc. to scan your doc. The software will ask you where you want to store it on your computer. Then go to e-mail program and click on new mail. After you fill out "to:", "regarding" etc. find the tab for "attachment". That tab will allow you to search your computer for doc you want to attach and send. Then send! Good luck! Va.

Do you have microsoft office.
if so, There's a little used program in the  directory on your start/programs/microsoft/microsoft office tools called Microsoft office document and microsoft office scanning.
Also, what software came with the printer/scanner. there's usualy a decent one bundled with them. if possible you may be able to scan to pdf. (pdf reader free from adobe)

Markbaker, as long as the scanner is installed correctly, then, again, in office or similar programs there should be an option to insert from scanner. click on that and it should bring up the scanner software to complete scan.

Not sure if this is the correct way around, but it worked.  Go to Start --> All programs --> Dell Printers --> Dell Photo AIO Printer 922 --> Dell All-in-one center

From here, you can determine and change your scan settings as needed;  then click "scan now" (thus by-passing the button on the actual AIO machine).  This scanned photos into my picture program so I could email to all the grandparents!
