What is this? I do not have anything in the box to support this. Where can I get a product code?
The product key is on the back of the QuickInstall directions. It is a sticker. You'll have to look around a bit.

You have to buy this memeo backup service after 30 days...and they will automatically backup your computer, however you can do this manually and free...just right click on the file you want to back up and send to the external hard drive (mybook) or you can copy and paste....I just got off the phone with the tech support people.

It's a my book 320.
I have the Western Digital 500GB MyBook External USB 2.0 Hard Drive. I too have been asked for a product key to register. This was never given to me at the point of sale (Staples). Where do I get this key? I have all the packaging from inside the box that has numbers on it.
Cannot find the supposed product code anywhere. WD does not have phone that I can find.
No product Key on my WD backup--nothing. They say it has expired. Makes no sense.
I have looked at my install guide, there is NO sticker anywhere on it. I don't have a product key, period.
