Question about Creative Labs ZEN Vision:M Digital Media Player
I have had a Zen Vision: M for nearly a year, and it was working fine. All of a sudden recently when I attempt to upload music through the Creative Media Wizard, my player freezes and i'm forced to hit the 'reset' button. I have attempted to rectify this problem by reinstalling my firmware, wiping the player, fixing my registry, reinstalling the Zen software among other things.
Some help would be greatly appreciated.
Have you download the latest firmware from creative?

Try to add your music a bit at a time instead of your whole library at once. That will freeze it. You can also try sync with Window's Media Player, which works a lot better than the Creative software.

I have, repeatedly, and it still refuses to work. Unless there's a new version that I don't have yet.
What does it mean when the firmware upload freezes? It's current, by the way.
That's not possible, though. I have wiped my hard drive a couple times to rectify the problem. I'm thinking I have to send it in to Creative to either repair it or send me a new device.
You know, you might be right. Every time I try to upload stuff I do notice that my cable's loose.
Is there anywhere I can possibly purchase a fresh cable?
Disregard my earlier post--I attempted to use my brother's cable, he has the exact same player as mine yet his cable is functional with his player. I think the USB jack got knocked loose. Is there a way I can fix that?
