My sony DV camera driver is not wanting to work correctly with my SOny DCR-TR700 digital video camera. How do I get the right driver to fix this problem? It's funny - it use to work...but now, for whatever reason doesn't. Hope you can help me out!

Your Sony Camcorder was basically setup to work with Windows XP, in that timeframe, and making it work with Windows Vista could be problematic. However, you may be able to make everything work by using the i.Link connection on the camera to a i.Link card on a desktop PC. Sony says this might work in Vista if you upgrade your original software. As far as drivers for the IEEE-1394 card, they are mostly already built-in in Microsoft Windows XP, VISTA etc. and should be no problem. If you do not already have a firewire card, get one from Amazon online.
Sony have a page offering information and support, including downloads (Picture Motion Browser) for this camera at THIS LINK
This type of camera transfers video to computer with a Firewire (Sony call this i.Link) connection. Some mini-DV and D8 cameras have a USB connection which is used for stills ONLY. There is a tutorial for downloading videos to computer linked from the above site.
