I bought a z22 a couple years ago ...installed the software. At that time we had Windows XP and MS Office 2000. Now we have Windows XP and MS Office 2007... and my Palm Z22 won't synch. Is there some additional software I need to use to make it compatible with Office (Outlook) 2007?

for Windows 2000 OS:: Install MS Office 2000 for Windows Xp OS:: Install Office XP , MS Office 2003 For Windows Vista:: Install MS Office 2007 For Windows 7 :: Install MS Office 2010

The message is clear: Microsoft Office 2007 cannot refuses to install on Windows 2000 Pro. You need a newer version of Windows (Windows XP or newer) to have MS Office 2007 work properly.
Alternatively you can install Office 97 on Windows 2000 Pro.

windows 7 is new and not compatible with many software so you may not get to sync your palm Z22 by using windows 7. You need a model that is compatible with windows 7.

Its a corrupt file and its common to office xp too.

Usually you would stick your installation disk in and let it auto-start. when it offers to install you would click yes

it should then say you already have it do you want to repair

say yes and let it do its stuff.

do not do any office updates just yet but verify that office does indeed work properly again

if so then you should make sure your office is fully updated

You can install Office 2007 without having any doubt on it because Vista is derivedversion of XP (both are from microsot) so there will be no problems.

the black screen at windows startup implies that u have a probleme with ur software package(service pack 2)

so get a fresh copy of the softwares u have mentioned
then 1st install windows serice pack 2 from the bootable disk
after that when windows starts install ms office professional.
