Flash error! please backup the data and format the player
You must insert your mp3 into your usb port then click on My Computer icon, right click on mp3 drive and click format disk, this will resolve this problem.

ilo model 556 turns on and attempts to load flash but I get 'flash error, backup data and format'.
Are there any hidden files/folders required on the MP3 that will be destroyed after a format? Or does this re-formating of the flash get you up and running again?

flash error problem with my ilo mp556
I plugged mine into the usb port, went to my computer but it doesn't recognize that it's even plugged in, so there is nothing to click on to format it! What now? my other mp3 is recognized just fine, so the problem is with my ilo mp556 and not with my pc.
