Question about Canon MultiPASS MP390 All-In-One InkJet Printer
The covers are pretty easy to remove and access print catridges once you know how. Unscrew screws as they become available, 4 on back then two on each side then 4 on top. the balck plastic front bezels pop off as do the grey side panles. Try pulling out and up from the top. This can be a little tricky but I have not had to be too brazen and have not broken any panels. I am pretty sure that clicking sounds indicates broken parts and a trip to the repair shop. Basically the lock to keep the heads covered is not disengaging.

Having the same problem: print cartridges are stuck, all the way to the right, makes a grinding noise and won't do any other functions. Please let me know if a solution has been found. Thanks.
same problem. print head cartridge carrier is jammed at far right and 'clicks" but doesn't move. I tried to open the unit up to get a closer look but was unable to get past the back panel. Repairs are generally expensive so i'm considering buying a new Multipass but hate to give up the two ink cartridge on this 390
Please help with guidance (smile)
Print heads stuck on the extreme right and when I try to
reset it make a clacking sound (8-10 clacks) but nothing
happens. I can't figure out how to open the case. Anybody
know how?
Message is print cartridge jammed. There is no paper jam. When I press the set key, the printer whirs for a while, tries to move the print head and clicks twice but the print head does not move.
printer cartridge jammed
Canon MP390 - When trying to print print head doesn't move from R.H. position, multiple clicks heard and error light flashes. Message says press set but problem does not correct. Cartridge access panel on front seems locked. Is it time to trash the printer or is there an inexpensive fix? It seems to be a common problem.
