A green dot in center of screen has appeared. When a baseball game is on the dot mimics the ball. How is this fixed?A green dot in center of screen has appeared. When a baseball game is on the dot mimics the ball. How is this fixed?
On the right side of my screen I have a bright dot, it changes colors for the most part and is not noticable when there is a black back lighting. Do you know what it is and how it can be removed. On the right side of my screen I have a bright dot, it changes colors for the most part and is not noticable when there is a black back lighting. You have to get a repair guy to come out. When this happened to me the guy changed the bulb (which didn't work) and the actual internal projector (which did work). But he had also said there was a software fix for this problem that is considerably cheaper.

The blue dots are due to a failing optic block. The lamp is only making them show up more obviously. The TV is probably failing as the blue dots will get larger and eventually take over the screen.
sound like your lamp is bad ...Panasonic TY-LA1000 Lamp Replacement...Ballast Repair Kit for Panasonic PT-50LC13 some time the ballast go bad as well to hear bouth part number one lamp and 2 ballast I hope this help you..
There is a software update for that unit but you will need a shop that has the box to do it with. This box is provided to authorized shops. I recomend you find a shop that is a panasonic warranty service center.
There is only 2 things that will cause this and one is Dirt on optical Lense OR Light Engine is going BAD if light engine is it it will start showing more spots along with tiny DOTs and color on picture will be green and purple in different areas.
It is the balister not the lamp. Very common problem that Panasonic will not address. Costs over $600 to repair. file a complaint with consumer affairs please.
easiest: it is dust in some step of the projection light path.
hardest: the light engine could be damage
if you mean little ones as little dots (a neddle punshing) red and blue but always there:
condition call it: pixels always on: light engine is the reason.
as you see the light engine is the main part here, IT is expensive repair. so if you can survive with those little dots do it.
IF it is dust, is good idea asking for and estimate to see if can works.
Its the light engine. Had a tehnician come and look at mine and was told it would have cost over $600 if I didnt have the warranty. Panasonic called 2 weeks later and told me that parts are no longer available for my model and are upgrading me to a 50 inch tv.(from 44 inch)
