I have been running Artlink V3 on windows XP and have upgraded to windows Vista and now my software won't run. Is there a patch I can get or am forced to pay hundreds of dollars to run new software? Please help!
I was just having a similar problem with re-installing v3 on XP. I googled HASP4 (as that's the name written on my dongle). I ended up downloading a new HASP driver and noticed that it said it supported Vista (both 32 & 64 bit). Try downloading and installing the latest driver to see if it'll work. If not, I'm afraid you may be forced to either use an old XP computer or you may need to upgrade. Here's a link to the site: http://www.aladdin.com/support/hasp/hasp4/enduser.aspx#latestDD
The file I downloaded and installed was "HASP4_driver_setup.zip". When prompted, save it to your desktop, double click the zipped file and then double click the "hdd32.exe" file and it should install. After completing the install, I opened up Artista and it was able to sync with the dongle after a minute long pause.
Again, this was a new install on XP, not Vista. I'm assuming it'll work on Vista based on the information on Aladdin's website.
Goodluck.

Unfortunately there is no fix for users of version 3 who have upgraded to vista.
The version 4 of Artista software does work in Vista. I have tested this and it appears to me to be related to the software "dongle" protections.
