No power i was hooking my ps3 up and the tv looked funny so i went to hook it up on anther tv and it wouldnt turn back on at all

Try resetting the video output settings. They may not be appropriate for your new tv.
Press and hold the power button until you hear two beeps while it is off.

give this a try...

Leave the TV running, go over to your PS3 and turn it off.

Once its off, hold the power button down till you hear a beep, KEEP HOLDING THE POWER BUTTON till you hear a double beep. The PS3 will shut itself off.

Give the device a couple of seconds, then hit the power button one last time (just turn it on, you don't have to hold it).

If all went right, your baby is back up and running...

after you hook it up..unplug it for 10 secnds,then plug it back in and when you turn it on ,hold the power button down till you see somethng on the tv..a menu will pop up..

Also, if it was previously plugged in to HD, it might need to be switched back to SD cable. To do this switch your ps3 off, then press and hold the power button when you turn it on. It will beep once when you turn it on, then beep again after a few seconds. Once it's beeped the second time the display settings will be reset and hopefully it will show up on the screen.

It may have the changed somehow, try turning off your ps3, wait 10 secs, turn the ps3 back on and do not release the power button until you hear the beeps, it should reset your display.

First thing you should try is using the regular old AV cables. That way we know if it's an hdmi problem or a video problem with the PS3. Hook them up, do the manual video reset ( hold down the power button until you hear a second beep, quickly release) and then post back here with the results.

hook up usb for controler into ps3 then controller then hit ps button also use cords ps3 came with first with back power on but on stand by hold power button down for 10sec this should connect the controler to system as well as give you picture if it dosent check your tv with another device such as dvd player make sure the hook ups work

you can try getting a new power cord and a/v cord or just borrowing one of your friends to try out. the problem might be your tv. have you hooked up and other videogame systems to it and you got the same problem? do you have your ps3 hooked up to hd or hdmi?

when you turn the ps3 on hold down the power buttion on the console until it beeps and the lights flash.

so, you tried the Video Reset with your standard av cable hooked up...turn off rear power switch, then back on. Hold front power button to turn unit on for 8 seconds or so, which will reset the video settings....unit will give some double beeps letting u know this was successful. then turn off and on again.
