Washer worked fine with no problems till this. The washer will let you pick a cycle then when you press start button nothing happens. Sometimes it works with out a problem others time we have to unplug it for a while then plug back in but no promise it will start. called to get it looked at, they changed the circuit board still haveing the same problem. any ideas?
There are 2 boards in there. on the calypso, 9 times out of 10 you have to change both boards at the same time
its possible. but the boards have caused more problems with that washer than any other. you can do a google search for calypso problems a see thousands of site about the bad issuses with that washer. theres a class action against whirlpool for that washer too. im not sure if its been settled or not though
how old is the washer? are you paying for the repairs? or are you under some kid of warranty? if your paying for the repairs id let the company that fixed it know that it still wasnt working and that before you get too much money tied into it you want to return the part they put in and get as much back as possible and get out of it. if it warranty work let them fix it. both of the boards together are around $260 just for that parts. i dont know what they are charging labor

Do you think it could simply be the start button is worn out or just not contacting right?
So do you think I should call and have them come repair it again?
The parts are covered, labor is not. so I will Call them and tell them it is still not working correctly. Thanks for all your help. The washer is about 4 years old, I think.
