My 2 year old WACS700 suddenly wont accept a cd. It feels like there is already a disk in there but definately isnt.I had trouble like this once before but it righted itself. Any ideas what is wrong. Currys want £90 just to look at it. So frustrating!

I can only try to help based on your lack of information... is it plugged in? is there already a disk in the player? is it not accepting burnt disks or store bought ones or both? are you loading it upside down? did you remove the tray lock
Hi,If your system's screen just display ''booting up please wait'' Your hard disk is corrupted. In this case the hard disk should be replaced. But first the installation of new hard disk of the original program I mean the image of the old hard disk.If you find that image and install a new hard drive will solve the problem.
The original user manual will define the headunits error readings. It is most likely an internal mechanical failure and will need to be repaired or replaced
I had the same problem, i have now upgreaded the firmware off the philips site it was released in 2007 and mine had already been done but i did it again and it accepts the CD now, I just need to get it to read the whole cd content
If there is sound in radio mode, but no audio in CD mode (for any CD/MP3 disc of course) , there is a lens problem. Try to clean the lens with cleaning disk. If it wont help you need lense replacement.
Good luck
