Picture numbering system

I have a Panasonic DMC-FX3 digital camera, I have just been away for 3 months and when I downloaded my pictures to my laptop after 3 weeks I then deleted those pictures from my camera storage card they were numbered 1 - 410, now when I continued to take more pictures I then downloaded these to my laptop they were numbered 1 - 380, each time I took more pictures they were numbered 1 to whatever, when I get home to allow me to put all of my pictures in one folder I had to renumber all of my shots because the number 1 started again.
How can I set the camera to sequential numbers, ie: take 1-410 then delete the card then continue taking pics from 411 to whatever.

It can only nuber from 1 to whatever or next number to whatever you already have. Each time you transfer the pics to ypur PC, it delets the ones that have been sent, so it is left with none and hence the name of the next pic would be one. Only solution is if you can configure to name the pics based on date. That way, you will have different names each day. I am sure you have this provision in your camera.

How to transfer images from panasonic lumix dmc-fx3 to mac

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo management program.

I have a Panasonic Lumix Model No. DMC-F3 I upload the pictures and movies but one will not go away It says "This motion image cannot be played" I try to delete it and it says "This picture...

First, try to delete the movie from the computer - just navigate to it and select it, and press the delete key. If that doesn't work, use the format function of the camera to reformat the memory card (obviously this should delete everything, including the problem one).

If reformatting causes the file numbering to restart from 0001 and this messes with your personal filing system, you may be able to take one picture, use your computer to change the name of it with the 'rename' function to the number you want to continue from, and then start taking pictures again. (Many cameras will notice the numbered file, and continue the numbering from there; however, I can't guarantee that yours will do this.)

Panasonic DMC-FX3 doesn't detect memory card

Hello Janaecooley,
The card section of the camera must be cracked or damaged due to fallen. First option is to get repair from any expert, Second option is that you want to get the pictures present in your memory stick. for this you can get you snaps to put your card in a CARD READER and save it at you computer. In market various card readers are available with very low price. Buy one that suits yous memory stick.

Panasonic FX3 Memory error: only takes 3 pictures

I would recommend formatting your existing disk. If that doesn't cure your problem then replacing the disk should do.

Hope this helps,
