I am using Transcent 2GB pen drive,When I connect it to PC It shows Removable Disk. But when I double click it, It shows a dialogue box to format the same. When I choose Yes to fomat ,a dialogue box appears "The Drive is write-Protected". Can you help me...Please..
I have had the same prob and able to remove the write protected message by just unlocking the hold button. If this doesn't work there is formating software for each USB on the web. One can google and download it for free inorder to formate the USB
Click > Start > RUN > type "CMD" Then
Type "CHKDSK" and type o your Pendrive and "/F". Ex. chkdsk Q: /F > Enter
Ok, You see many msg error. OK!
Now, you remove your pendrive and plug again.
Try to format.
Hope this helps u
Thank You

Two things to try here. If your pen drive came with a mini cd then load the driver from the cd. If it didn't then try the pen drive on a different pc.
I do not have a Transcend pen drive, but all of my other ones either have a micro switch located on them (sometimes very hard to find) or they need to be formatted from within windows using a tool fom the transcend website below.
