Question about E-Machines eMachines Desktop PC

1 Answer

Graphics please help me. my computer has not worked for over a year. someone wiped out everything. I just received a recover disk and it made my computer work but all the pictures are fuzzy. Do you know what I could do it fix it. I have tried twice to go to properties and fix it that way but it only put my computer back to a black screen and I had to use the recovery disk again to make it work.  If you could give me some info on how to fix it I would be very greatfull.

Hi, It could be the monitor itself that is failing, have you tried plugging in another monitor?

Other than that the recovery disc may not have had the exact drivers for your monitor so you may be able to get the drivers or display adapter drivers for that monitor and install them.

Let me know how you go,

A windows system change wiped everything off my computer but I can't get my NTI to restore. The external hard drive shows over 240G used so it must have something on it. How do I restore?

Try downloading the program called "Recuva" by Ccleaner it should help recover everything you have, also try going to your drive letter and right click and it should say fix disk errors then just fix the disk errors those two things should work

I need help to set up my cell phone, girl yesterday wiped everything out, can you help set me back up?

If your phone has a micro SD external memore, take it out, introduce it in a USB SD Reader so it will work as a USB memory. Introcuce it in a computer and it will appear as a removable disk.
Now, use a data recover application.
A free one if RECUVA
https://www.piriform.com/recuva
Download it and install it in the computer then run it to recover the data from your SD card
Consider the content of the internal memory of your pnone lost. Sorry, no way to recover it.
Good Luck.

Failure to launch "Getting Started" or "Start with a Blank Design"

If this is happening on the same computer I would say you have a corrupt file on your hard drive that is causing this. Reinstalling your operating system would be the first step. Before you reinstall you should do an Fdsk which will wipe out everything, so back up your files. You will also need a start up disk if you do a complete wipe out. Your computer will not be smart enough to start up without a start up disk.

Im trying to like wipe everything off of my computer so it wont run like **** nymore i dont knwo how o do it though and im not sure if i have all the disks i need to restore it once its wiped... i have the...

If it has windows xp, vista, or 7 then you can go to help and type in 'recovery' or 'restore' to an earlier date.

If you Recover, then it will go to the first day the computer was used and that is done without recovery disks.

Many if not all computers nowadays do not come with disks, but rely on the image stored ont he hard drive.

My computer keeps saying disc read error i have tried everything but nothing works

When you receive a disk error, stop using the disk immediately, and do not attempt to open damaged files. The more you attempt to use a damaged disk or file, the less likely a successful recovery will be.
You can try to recover the damaged file(s) with utility programs (such as ScanDisk or Norton Utilities for Windows, or First Aid for Mac OS X), which search the disk and attempt to recover damaged areas. Recovering damaged files or disks can be risky, however, and it is possible to make the problem worse by using these utilities. Unless you thoroughly understand the recovery software process, UITS recommends that you seek professional assistance.
The likelihood of successful recovery depends on the type of damage to the disk. Information stored on disk is vulnerable to dust, dirt, magnetic fields, static electricity, age, wear, and physical disk damage. Taking proper care of disks and making frequent backups will help protect your data.

What will be left on the hard drive if i format it.

Hi,

Basically nothing.

Whether you format it in FAT or NTFS or just zero fill it, it will wipe all the data from it.

Data can be recovered from a freshly formatted drive but it takes special software to recover it.

Need to get a recovery disc or disc's for an HP Pavilion a414x, DESK TOP with windows xp. system #DT037A-ABA; ser.# MXK4090RMV. Bought this used, OS has been completely wiped out, have no recovery disc,...

If the Harddrive is wiped you will not be able to "Recover" anything. No operating system exists. You need a Windows Operating disk. You can buy an official one with the keys and everything anywhere u can buy PC software.

If you borrow a OS CD, do not expect it to work. You need valid keys. You have to bite the bullet on this one and buy the OS. You will also need to download and "properly" install the hardware drivers. This is not as simple as people think and if you think windows update will do a good job of installing the drivers...think again. 9 times out of ten...you will get a blue screen error if u let windows install graphic or other major drivers.

If you really want to wipe the hard drive you've got to use dban.

Here's the link.

Unless of course you want someone to recover your files from your "wiped" hard drive.
