Hello, my name is jimmy. I have just had a problem with my 1212m pci card. There is no signal coming out of the two 1/4inch jacks, even though there is signal showing in the patch mix programe. It was all...

Are you using a PC? If so check to make sure you have no "conflicts" going on in your system. Default the patch mix, the re assign the default audio devices in your system settings and try again with the patch mix and monitors. Unplugging normal jacks/xlrs should not cause this to happen. Just a fluke it happened at the same time.
I would check for any software/firmware updates too

I need em 8810 sound card driver.can you help me?

try looking for the drivers for the, say, Emu 1212m PCI on the EMU site. The 12112m sound system consisted of an em8810 PCI card and an em8820 interface card as a set. They don't list drivers for the 8810 but they do for the 1212m sound system and those will work fine. They have beta Win 7 drivers but if you can find them, the Vista drivers work fine and in 64 bit as well.

I work with windows 7 and i need a driver for the sound card

This is a link to E-Mu for info for the 1212M sound card. Unfortunately Win 7 is not listed. Does Win 7 offer running a program/drivers in compatibility mode? Just a thought.

EMU 1212m clicks in audio

Note that there are new drivers that can be found on http://www.emu.com and that some E-MU products need to be grounded, like my E-MU 1616m, check also the ASIO drivers settings,
setting in them the milliseconds to low wil also
cause audio stutter.

Succes.

I have a behringer ub1832fx pro mixer. i also have an emu 1212m soundcard. how do i connect this to my computer and record using my DAW and keyboard. thanks

You first need to make sure the 1212m is installed properly in windows. When you load your DAW (Sonar, Cubase etc) you should go to preferences and make sure that the 1212m is selected for input and output audio.

The 1212m only has 2 physical input and outputs, so you will be able to record and play back in stereo, but if you want to record or play back 8 channels at a time you will need a seperate analogue to digital converter, like the Behringer ADA800.

Emu 1212m mysterious audio clicks

With digital sync there are 2 devices one is the MASTER one is the SLAVE the MASTER is like the leader he determines when to start what the sample rate and frequency will be, the amount of latency and so on.
If you look in session settings in PATCHMIX you will see 2 options under system. These are Internal and External, Internal sets the 1212 M as Master and External sets it as Slave.

Us-144 working only on high latency!

Even my q6600 clocked at 3.6 Ghz gives me 12ms latency. It turns out the tascam highest latency is 12ms also on my p3 3.0 ghz pc. I haven't tried the tascam on my q6600 - I use an Emu 1820m on that. But try testing the tascam on a really fast computer. It's probably your dell's middling motherboard that's the slow down as well as all the extra stuff installed on dell's and especially notebooks that are robbing the usb bus of it's bandwidth. In most cases with the tascam, it's the pc or a low latency setting. If you want a great card for serious work: The EMU 1616m pcmcia card is a great card! Even SoundonSound loves them. Emu just makes great soundcards that rival any card out there for the best prices. Emu also gives the most control via it's excellent PatchMix software, but Patchmix does require an average IQ and about 10 minutes of reading.

EMU 1616m (cardbus) not offerring its input sources to Reaper

While you probably solved this already here goes. I'm not familiar with reaper but most audio recording software can select between using windows wdm & ASIO. If you aren't set to ASIO you won't be able to see the Hi-Z (Dock A/Dock B) inputs. It looks like Reaper supports ASIO so that should be fine. If though you are using a program that doesn't support ASIO you need to use the EMU patchmix and 'patch' the input through to a 'wave' channel.
