Hello,
The lens of your camera has been stuck.
You need to go to Canon authorised service center. They will replace the optical assembly.

OR

You can give it to an expert for repair, he can repair it without replacing the optical assembly.

How do I restart the camera? The message says lens error and to restart the camera.

Lens error is a pretty serious problem. If power off-on doesn't clear it, it is a trip to the repair shop.

In the middle of taking pictures, all of a sudden my Nikon P100 will become blurry and then the Lense Error message will come up saying, "Lense Error: if the lense cap is on the camera, turn the...

Could be sand particles getting into the seams around the lens barrel, binding it up. Unfortunately, many cameras that fall prey to lens error problems can only be corrected by professional repair. But, here are some last resort troubleshooting steps that you can try that may correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try.

Lense error, restart camera problem

If it's "lens error", then check your lens for damage or being jammed.
If it's "lense error", then I don't know what a lense is.

Hi

What you are seeing is just an error message, starting your camera again won't do anything unfortunately.

You need to replace the lens, we have your lens repair available on our site for about $75! If we can help please let us know.

Lense error, restart camera

This is probably THE most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html

Lens Error, Restart

Hi

What you are seeing is a generic stuck lens error message, turning off the camera and turning it on again will not fix the lens unfortunately.

Your lens needs to be cleaned or repaired, and if it cant be repaired it needs to be replaced. There are online places that will do it for a decent price and there are others that overcharge by way too much.

Fixya rules prevent me from giving you a link to anything off Fixya that would help you fix your camera.

Good luck from....
