I have a xbox 360 hdmi and it has flashing red and green lights what is this and how can i fix it. thanks

Four lights around the power button flash red on your Xbox 360 console. Four flashing lights indicates that the console does not detect an audio/video (AV) cable.
Note Four flashing red lights will not appear on consoles that have both an AV port and an HDMI port.

Either something freaky is happening to your Xbox, or you have the "red ring of death" which mean you'll have to take it to get repaired.

if that happens make sure all the connections in the back of your xbox 360 are connected and if it is still flashing red its probably the red ring of death and thats were three rings are flashing red so if its like that your going to have to send your xbxo 360 into microsoft

Doesn't really have to do with hdmi. They call it the red ring of death, I've had it happen to me 4 times. It's a problem that happens to almost everyone. Call 1-800-4my-xbox, "I think that's right" and tell them your problem, they fix it for free, and give the address to send your xbox to and send you a new one. Just call and they will go over everything with you.

r they all red or only certain ones the most common thing to check first are the av cables/hdmi cable from the xbox to the tv.. if they are loose on the xbox it will show the red ring in a sequence make sure their tight...if this does not fix it YOU HAVE THE RED RING OF DEATH its either overheated or you have a bad disk drive or something internal....you will need to call microsoft

2 red lights flashing is'nt too bad of a deal. just reposition your xbox 360 to a place where more airflow can get to it. plus, dont have anything that gives off heat near the xbox 360, thats vary important to give it room for cool air. it worked for me
