My mm50 worked fine for over 2 years. Just recently, the power section does not respond (turn on, light, etc), although when unit is pluged in, the ipod still charges. I was thinking maybe the battery needs to be good in order to function even with AC power connected, but I think this would be unusual. I am afraid there may be a short, or a bad component on the circuit board. Anyone have a suggestion? My mm50 worked fine for over 2 years. Depending on Hawaii power use and voltage, be carefull, sometimes places has diferent voltages, as 110 or 220, or else, try to find a power converter for radio shack, or other company or in Hawaii for particular conectors on there.
