Reduce the 3 Gb/s SATA-II speed of the HD103UJ to 1.5 Gb/s (SATA-I). This can be done with ESTOOL available on the Samsung website.
I found the HD103UJ unreliable, read about my findings below.

Good luck!
All I can asume is that you are trying to install this on a slightly older computer. All is not lost though. you need to find out the name and model of your motherboard and go to thge web site to see if there is a bios update. if there is then get it and use it mthods vary but instructions will be on your motherboads web site.
Try that first as the second method is not my prefered one. Next you can try to set the drive up on a newer machine and whilst doing so split the partitions into 4 so that you would end up with what looks like 4 drive of just under 250Gb (You wont get 250Gb becuase of overheads)
Try it in your older computer and if all is good you are away to the races.
If that fails you are looking at using software to fool the bios. This has the advantage in that you can use the whole drive and dont need to creat partiions but quite often has a speed disadvantage becuase software has to do a lot of work.
The software is here but I hope you got it working way before you need this

SOURCE: my bios doesn't recognize my hard drive
Do the neccesary jumper cable settings. then manually detect it through your bios. If not detected, try to replace the ide cable. if still not detected, try to feel the hard drive if it spins, if not, the had drive is damage.
Hi,
The Mac and the windows file system are different. So if you
will connect a Mac file system formatted hard drive to a windows system then it
may occur. To retrieve your data from your MAC hard drive you have to connect
the drive to a Mac system.
Check the cables of the hard drive or replace them. You can
try to connect with another port of the mother board. If the Bios don't detect
your hard drive then check the bios settings. If the bios detects your hard
drive but you can't access it then try to repair the OS to retrieve your data.
