I just bought a new fuser for our printer, but the online stats say the current fuser is only 65% used. We have been having some problems for awhile with it printing two copies fine and then starting to print like the fuser isn't working, like melted pictures and unfinished pictures, etc. I've looked on the fuser roller and it's not pretty, but I don't know if that can be cleaned or what. Usually it will print a couple of jobs fine and then start getting warm and not printing anything well at all.
So will a new fuser help? Is there something I'm not cleaning or maintaining that I should?
Cant picture you fault, if fuser is over 12 months old then change it, it should have smooth orange rubber rollers, not serviceable item normally.
I'm not sure but I think you issue may be you are not setting the paper type correctly to suit media you are printing on ie card. If this is the case fuser runs at wrong temp an fails to apply enough heat to fuse/melt the toner into the paper and fuser rollers gunk up.
