The best way to fix any scratched disc is to have it resurfaced. Most second-hand game stores and movie rental stores will provide this service for a small fee (usually $1 or $2 per disc), and the disc will come out looking and working like new!
The only exception to this is Dreamcast games (these can be damaged by resurfacing) and CDs with top side damage. GameCube games are DVDs, so there should be no problem at all when you resurface them.
Power Light Shuts Off
If the power shuts off during game play (even as much as 30 minutes after the system is turned on), then turns off and won't turn back on or the fan isn't working, the system needs repair.
