I used my dvd once on the way home in the car on a long trip - It worked fine. However, the battery was totally used up. I put it away for several weeks and then took it out and charged it for at least 6 hours. Now it does not work at all unless it is plugged in. How can i need a new battery when it was only used once? Ansd where do i get such a battery if i need to? Eileen

well is the battery draining over the time its sitting? could be a bad battery or alternator, and/or you might have something on the car constantly draining power from the battery. best to have it looked at by a mechanic.
The appearance of a battery symbol while you are using just the battery means that you are using just the battery.
The flashing battery symbol is a constant reminder to you that a power intensive function is only supported by the battery, and that you should make external power available so as to complete the task without losing power in a battery drain event.
Turn on power.
Push 9 7 3 5 from the remote.
Select 0 using arrow keys.
The one above did work me,
only that after one turns on the player, enter in the 9735 with the
remote and press 'enter', you can choose between making your player
region-free or a different region in addition to R1. Select the desired
region unlock and press 'enter'.
Make sure you check the bottom of the DVD player to see if it was
manufactured in the first quarter of 2007, that might factor in whether
the code can work or not.
