Same Mitsubishi as before. The CS-2657R

I forgot to ask about the volume, would you know why the volume which works fine manually on the tv but not on that universal remote. The remote turns the tv and he cable box on but you just can't adjust the volume. Is there a sensor that could just not be responding to the remote? It sure would have been helpful if the guy who gave us the tv had the manual and the remote, by the way I could not track down the manual anywhere on the web, I did find a service manual but I didn't think it would be very helpful.

The cable box remote is programmable = contact your cable
provider to program to work volume on your Mits.............T.

I have a Mitsubishi cs-35505 tv. This model is an oldie, from '96, but still works... kind of. The remote is not really functional, even with new batteries and the internal speakers got turned off. I...

If you feel the remote is bad, you will need to find a new remote. The best option here is to find the MCM Electronics website. They will have a brand replacement. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

Hello, I have a very old mitsubishi color tv, model cs 2657r, which I purchased in the late 1980s. The picture is still great, and I'm trying to connect two small external speakers, though the internal...

Try stripping the speaker wires and exposing it about 1 inch. Then connect the speaker wires in a way that the part that grips or holds the wires touches the metal part and not the insulation. If there's still no sound, Please check the external speakers to see if it's working by using them in another device like a home system or audio player or maybe another tv that has an external speaker port. If not, mostly likely the switches are defective and needs replacement by a qualified technician.

Black screen

use your remote then turn off the text messege of your tv.the black screen that you seen is for the messege but since their is no message written in the box ,that's why you see a black box.
