I have an intermittent problem where certain incoming calls local or long distance cause the phone system to ring, cut out, ring, all the lights blink, then stops. While this happens you can't talk on the phone.
I just started having the same problem with my 8825. I receive some calls fine, other inbound calls cause the entire system to reboot/restart. Just started happening within the last week.I just started having the same problem with my 8825. I receive some calls fine, other inbound calls cause the entire system to reboot/restart. Clearing the caller ID worked. I thought I was going to have to buy a new phone. Thanks for your post. Clearing the caller ID worked. I thought I was going to have to buy a new phone. Thanks for your post.

I have the same problem with mine - a Siemens 2420 base. The calls come in, all the lights flash, then the thing clicks and resets. At this point, it can only be used for outgoing calls. i think i'm going to retire it. Too bad, cause the speakerphone was one of the best ever.
my previous post should have been a comment, but i found the solution to this problem by searching a bit on google:
It seems that this phone has a bug that affects it when the caller log gets full. It's either a result of the full log, or a particular number in the log, but regardless, if you delete all entries in the caller log, the phone works perfectly.
Also, i modified my setting so that no numbers are stored to the log anymore.
for more info on this, see the page where i found the solution: http://press.teleinteractive.net/yackity...

You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.
As for incoming calls, are they possibly going to the aforementioned voicemail system?"

We use the same system for our home office and when ours went bad we sent it (and a bad handset we had) to www.cordlessrepair.com We got the rush repair service and got them back in a couple days. It was cheaper than buying a used one, my display was going bad too which they took care of at the same time and put in a new display, but it did cost me a little more. We love the phone so its worth it, and we looked for something similar but they all seem so cheaply made nowadays and we need alot of handsets. Hope this helps someone.
OK, here's what happened. I had the same issue of the phone resetting when a call came in, I thought it was a power issue and through some testing it was not. Here's the fix...Menu \ system settings \ enter pin (if you haven't changed it it is 0000) scroll to factory default and reset. This fixed the problem somehow for me, make sure to write down any impotant messages because it will erase everyting (silly me). I hope this helps.
