Question about Samsung SGH-X830 Cellular Phone
Make sure you have windows xp or higher and make you have Windows media player 11 plug in the phone to your pc (directly to your pc) and go to copy to device or synchronize

I noticed same problem after installing the latest X6 software update (21.0.004).
If I view the device in the Windows 7 folder view, the "mass memory" has 0 bytes free.
If I force the X6 USB connection mode to "Media transfer", it will automatically revert to "PC Suite".
The only workaround I've found:
- change the USB mode to "Mass storage"
- copy the music files from the PC to the X6 music directory using Windows Explorer
The downside of the workaround is that the phone then needs to connect to the Ovi music store to validate any music files downloaded from the store.

I reassured myself several times, i even reinstalled my XP but it simply doesn't want to find it.
Thank you anyway!
