CG controller I've got trouble with my GC controller. There are four holes for the controler in the GC console, when I put the connector in the first one, the game is not responding, the controller doesn't work but if I put it into the second, third and fourth it works well, everything is ok. So could anyone tell me where can be the problem or what should I do? Is there any chance that I could fix it?? :-( Thanks a lot for the answers

Look the control jack for anything wrong or different from the other tree jacks. If damaged you would need to replace or repair.

First find a guide to dissasemble the NGC, maybe in youtube, and look for cracked or broken solders on the jack board, if you find any just solder that again and you must be done.

If your problem is a worn connector / jack, and you dont use all the 4 jacks at the same time then you may try the poor guys solution and shift the #1 jack with any of the other non so used jacks or just try to find a replacement googling.

If non working anything of previus then you may have an electronic damage on the port and that is more difficult to solve at home so no more option than letting a technician to solve it.

Good Luck...

How do you use a Gamecube controller on the Wii ?

Assuming the Wii unit is situated vertically, look on the top of the unit. There should be two flaps. Lift them, and you will find plugs for four GameCube controllers and two GameCube memory cards. Plug in the controllers and go.

Bare in mind that only a very small number of Wii games actually use GameCube controllers. The controller slots are primarily for playing GameCube games on the Wii, which the Wii can do right out of the box, provided you have the controllers and memory cards.

Red button on gamecube controller

This is simple. Just open up the GC controller by unscrewing the screws on the back. When you get to the front, take the buttons out and clean them. If it still doesn't work, that means your button pad is torn and you will have to buy a new controller.
