I have the same problem, the flash is dead for sure. Just use the moonlight portrait for indoor and the auto for outdoor. Sometimes pictures would come out good without flash.

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P73 Digital Camera suddenly flash is not working

The flash may be broken.
If not these are the flash settings on the camera in case a different flash mode has been set accidently.

Set the mode dial to [camera icon], and press [up arrow] on the control button repeatedly to select a flash mode.

The flash mode has the following features.
No indicator (Auto):
The camera decides to use the flash based on lighting
conditions. The flash will be used when
there is not enough light or when shooting a
subject against a light source.

(Forced flash):
The flash will be used regardless of the amount of ambient light.

(Slow synchro):
The flash will be used regardless of the amount of ambient
light. In this mode, the shutter speed is
slower under dark conditions, so you can
clearly shoot a background that is out of the flash-lit area.

(No flash):
The flash will not be used.

My sony cyber-shot DSC-H10 flash stopped working. The flash pops up like it is going to work, but does not flash. I can take pictures but with noflash. Can you help me?

You flash is in ' Flash forced OFF ' position.Press on the flash control button repeatedly until one of the four modes are selected.

1.Flash Auto - Flashes when there is insufficient light or backlight ( Default Setting )

2.Flash forced on

3.Slow synchro - The shutter speed is slow in a dark place to clearly shoot the background that is out of flash light.

4.Flash forced off - ( Your current mode ).The flash automatically pops up and strobes when using the flash.Close the flash by hand after use.

Hi!
The flash fuse on the main board or the flash board is bad. Contact your local Sony service center, but if they ask too much, you can contact me at [email protected] and I will give you a good price.
I work in Sony service center.

Flash not working

I had the same problem with my flash not working on any setting, but I found a way to fix it: hit the menu button, make sure the "rec mode" choice is set to normal instead of burst. I think the burst mode takes multiple shots in a row, so the flash isn't compatible with that setting?

Flash

Hi guys.
I took the camera to Sony repair center. They wanted to charge me 65/hr to repair plus parts. I asked, How much do you think it could cost to fix it. tops? He said I don't know, depending on what we have to change. I said tell me, maybe 100 , 120 he said it could be!
The camera new, they are going on sale for $199. I said forget it.
I took it home. Took it apart. I moved the flash card a bit and it started working. I am assuming something came loose and it is working fine now. I saved myself over $100 bucks. Ha, ha.

E9101 flash error.

Hello Sayrah, there is no way you can fix it yourself. E9101 is an abnormality when flash is being charged. Contact your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony service facility. Best regards, Arpad

Flash no more working: error code

You must have an E:61 or E:91 error. You will need to send it back to Sony but, that is what warranties are all about. I am sure it will be fixed quickly and for free!!
