Universal Remote I have a DVD/VCR combo and lost the remote. I bought an RCA universal remote, but can't get to the set-up menu to finalize a disc. Any suggestions?

    i just wanted to know if ther is a way to pull up the menu without a remote? i have tried pushing the two chanel up and down buttons together amung other buttons nothing has worked.

    we have a sansui television about 5 years old, we have tried every universal remote and they either will not work or work for a week and quit..

    My daughter's boyfriend spilled coke on the remove for my Sansui DVD/VCR Combo and slid it under the couch. Needless to say, it no longer works. I purchased a universal remote which had 2 codes for a Sansui DVD/VCR Combo. Neither of them has worked. What now?

I dropped and busted my origional remote control. I bought a new one from www.newremotecontrol.com , there are many sites that sell origional remotes, so shop around. it is not a universal remote, but the actual remote for the product... a little pricy, but worth it to have all the funtions available.
